Astrofest is set to be the astronomy event of the year! Coinciding with the International Year of flowAstronomy, this astronomy festival of epic proportions will be a celebration of Australian science, today and in the future.

As well as telescopes and observing throughout the day and night, Astrofest will feature a myriad of interesting, engaging and exciting indoor and outdoor activities for the whole family including bottle rocket experiments, science shows, portable planetariums, astrophotography, a fascinating Solar System walk on Edinburgh Oval and more in the interactive ‘Kids Zone’.

Special guests on the day include Astronomer-in-Charge of the Anglo-Australian Observatory (AAO), Fred Watson. Don’t miss all the action at this year’s Astrofest – a fantastic opportunity to educate, inform and inspire budding astronomers!
