Western Australia has links to fascinating international science projects that have world-wide impact.

A special presentation will be held August 15, during National Science Week in the International Year of Astronomy,

Join Gingin Observatory with special presenter Professor Steven Tingay from  Curtin University, as he discusses Western Australia's role in the biggest science project this century – the Square Kilometre Array.

This is an excellent opportunity for young scientists to discover possible employment pathways in astronomy.

After the presentation, Gingin Observatory astronomers will offer a laser beam constellation tour of the night sky and an opportunity to stargaze through the telescopes.

7.00pm to 9.30pm.
